June teaches third and fourth year BSN students for the program at Kwantlen Polytechnic University in British Columbia (since 1989). She is also a PhD Candidate in the Faculty of Curriculum and Pedagogy with a focus on technology Education at the University of British Columbia. Her doctoral dissertation focus is on nursing informatics culture within nursing education. June has developed and offered integrated curriculum related to Nursing Informatics for all BSN students at Kwantlen since the early 1990s, viewable at ttp://www.nursing-informatics.com/kwantlen
She is currently Chief Senior Editor for the Online Journal of Nursing Informatics She is also Editor in Chief and Designer of the Canadian Journal of Nursing Informatics. and Vice President & Global Health Research Chair for Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society of Nursing, Xi Eta Chapter . June co-wrote two textbooks (and designed the book covers) on "Education for a Digital World Advice, Guidelines, and Effective Practice from Around the Globe" with 30+ other expert authors, published by the Commonwealth of Learning in 2008.The second, Education for a Digital World 2.0 was published by Open Schools BC in 2011. She also wrote a chapter for both editions of another book, "Knowledge Generation Through Nursing Informatics" with several other nursing informatics experts, published by Jones and Barlett in 2008 and 2011.
June works as a consultant with various US and Canadian Universities to develop online curriculum related to nursing informatics or educational technology. In 2007, she signed a publisher's agreement and is currently writing a textbook on nursing informatics for Canadian nurses, slated for publication in 2012.
